Field Condition Information:
February 8, 2012: Fields remain saturated, outfields are soggy with standing water. Fields are going
through a freeze/thaw cycle almost daily, and usually start the mornings slightly frozen, and get soft
and mushy as the day goes on. It is doubtful the fields will be playable for a snowball tournament, as outfields
are muddy and soggy, while infields are soft and slick.....
Fields are now closed for the season... As most are aware, the fields took a beating this season
due to all the rain - fortunately the crew was able to 'roll' the outfields in mid-November
to fix the divots and holes created during play this season. A winter fertilizer
was applied in late November which should help things for next season. Springtime
we will 'roll' the outfields again, core-aerate and re-roll them yet again
(weather permitting). We hope to host your team in one of our many leagues in 2012.....
